Mission & Organization Overview: The Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sonoma County recruits, trains and provides ongoing support to community volunteers serving as officers of the court to advocate for the best interested of abused and neglected children in the foster care system. The purpose of the CASA program is to humanize the complex child welfare system for the child victim by providing a trained volunteer who will act as a consistent role model, advocate, and potential life connection. General Responsibilities: The Case Supervisor is primarily responsible for the administrative case management of the open Juvenile Dependency Court cases serviced by the CASA of Sonoma County Program. The Case Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, support, supervision and direction to volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates on their cases to assure compliance with CASA program standards for volunteer supervision and in the completion of court-mandated duties, including, but not limited to, developing and submitting monthly contact logs, court reports and case plans, and participating and documenting court hearings and case meetings. Assist in matching and placement of newly trained volunteer child advocates. The Case Supervisor must possess a trauma-informed perspective on working with children and families, an understanding of the dynamics of child abuse and neglect, and working knowledge of the child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems. Qualified candidates must be available to complete core volunteer training.
